Jirah functions under a Christian Ethos but is open to all, including other religions. We view Christianity as being a way of life that informs us of our true identity and purpose that we may live responsible productive and morally grounded lives in order to be the answer for others who are in need. Our Life skills/Whole Person Education is bible based and allows our youth to become God-aware, self-aware and self-regulating. This is achieved by helping our youth to identify everyday personal and professional challenges objectively and then to reference the word of God for the answers. This approach raises their awareness that God is woven intricately into the fabric of every area of our lives and that He cares about the choices we make.
Jirah is an “Aramaic” word from a time of old when there was only one language on the earth and people were not divided. The word Jirah describes one of the attributes of God the Father. “Jehovah Jirah” meaning God is the provider of all things to both bless and prosper us.
One of the bible verses indicative to Jirah Projects is: Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a prosperous future.
